Even though we were on the brink of passing out, we took a walk the afternoon we arrived. We were soon startled by these barking dogs, but they were on the roof and we were on the ground. Many of these houses in the center of town seemed to belong to gringos. San Miguel de Allende has a large North American expatriate community, mostly old people seeking somewhere warm and cheap to die. But who's to blame them?
