We split a cab into town with a guy from Leon ("the place to go for inexpensive shoes and all things related to leather," he said) who teaches English at the Universidad. He pointed out the supermarket, I think the town's main supermarket, explaining that it was where we should go if we wanted "anything related to milk." I think that was the only person we had a substantial conversation with during our entire trip.
